Porto Arabia is the first phase of the Pearl of the Gulf in Doha. A 4.25 million square meter island development in the Arabian sea. It took over 35, 000 workers to help to build the $15 billion island.

The Pearl was built on a natural sea bar in what appears from the air to resemble a seahorse with 3 ring shaped bays and a long tail like spit with a series of private islands. Along with master planning the island we developed the first bay, Porto Arabia.

Designed as the Riviera of the Middle East, Porto Arabia is formed around a ring shaped bay featuring over 60,000sm of retail and restaurants, 31 luxury condo towers, multiple townhomes, a 5 star Hotel, award winning marina along a 2.5 km boardwalk. We worked in collaboration with a team of engineers and local architects in Kuwait and meet an aggressive timeline. The team developed and delivered on an extremely fast-track schedule, completing all design phases in 18 months. In the first three months since completion of the design, the development’s value increased 85 percent. Since then it has only gone up as more of the island has been completed.
